Back for another Zedd collab, Matthew Koma’s vocal cords must be attached at the other end to our heartstrings, because he’s able to again stop us in our tracks as he did with his performance on Spectrum. This time around, however, Zedd enlists the feminine tones of Swedish singer-songwriter Miriam Bryant to complement Koma’s verses. The soft piano intro lifts and Zedd’s punchy electro production swoops in to give the track its due energy. From there, Find You follows a similar formula to that of his previous hits (not that that’s necessarily a bad thing), but at times, it shows alarming signs of unoriginality. However it’s possible that Spectrum 2 was what Divergent, Bud Light, or whoever, ordered.
Although we’re great fans of the sound Zedd has developed for himself, and it can’t be easy to continue to wow the popular EDM scene with track after track, we hope this isn’t a sign that Zedd is, in fact, human–please, please, please let him still be an enigma with god-like musical ability. He prob is.
