The lineup for the 17th annual Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas has been announced and music-lovers around the world are raving.
Sin City welcomes back EDC’s third consecutive year at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway which will take place June 21-23. This year, the people of Insomniac took a new approach into marketing the renowned event. The festival-goers are now the luminaries; the music and presentation are all a part of the experience. As the lineup poster says, “the most important headliner of all [is] YOU.” The announcement on the official EDC website reads, “unifying our community of 345,000 headliners (you) with 500 diverse creators including artists, musical acts, and theatrical performers under the electric sky.”
CEO and founder of Insomniac states that this year, EDC “will feature a slate of original artwork, a Discovery Project featuring emerging names and collaborations within dance music culture. I’m excited for our fans – the true headliners – to experience this firsthand.” Insomniac plans to transform the speedway into a fully electrifying and engaging carnival experience featuring: fire twirlers, aerials, dancers, and stilt walkers, large-scale art installations, and a state-of-the-art lighting and sound production that will span across seven stages of the 1,000 acre domain.
Aside from the production, the release of the lineup reveals to be one of the strongest yet. As the centerpiece of the festival, the roster includes many act spanning across the EDM spectrum: Avicii, Dillon Francis, Calvin Harris, Porter Robinson, Empire Of The Sun, John Digweed, Gareth Emergy, Laidback Luke, Baauer, Madeon, Crookers, Cosmic Gate, Jamie Jones, Tiga, Major Lazer, La Roux, Zeds Dead, Loco Dice, Flosstradamus, Sasha, Dirty South, Richie Hawtin, Dog Blood, and many, many more.
