Matan Zohar (aka Mat Zo) is a trance and progressive house producer, composer, and DJ. Born into an artistic family, Zo was immersed into the world of music at a very young age. At 8 years old, he was already playing the guitar and quickly showed a great talent for it. His musical interests brought him to London to pursue his dream as a bassist and drummer in a jazz/rock band. Zo became more interested in electronic music when he discovered the cutting edge sounds of Daft Punk and the Chemical Brothers. He spent 3 years honing his craft of producing music and within that same timeframe was receiving airplay by DJs Tarkan, Andy Moor, Perry O'neil, and Markus Schulz. When he was only 16 years old, Zo signed his first track and won the Baroque Remix Competition with Lustral's, "In My Life." Shortly after, he was hired by Tiesto to remix "Driving To Heaven" and started his monthly radio show, “Zoned.” Zo has quickly worked his way up to become one of the youngest and most talented progressive dance music producers in history. Gaining tremendous support but some of the world's top DJs Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond, Ferry Corsten, and Airwave, Mat Zo may only be 22 years old, but his technical talent and bold musical agenda has this youngin's future looking as bright as can be.
