Music making, chart topping, and globetrotting are just a few words to describe the success of Chris Lake's music career in the past six years. Lake is a Scottish house music producer who first became recognized for his bootleg remixes of Leftfield's "Phat Planet," The Prodigy's "Climatize," and Eurythmics, "Sweet Dreams." In 2006, his track "Changes" with Laura V. reached the UK Singles Chart as well as Top 10 on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart. Known for fusing smooth instrumentals, homemade edits, and vibrant vocals, Chris Lake's electro-pop sounds have quickly become a fan favorite. He has been a guest DJ on several radio shows, importantly Radio 1, where Pete Tong himself praised Lake as being "the best thing to come out of Scotland since Mylo." In 2010, Lake kicked off the year collaborating with Deadmau5 on the track "I Said." Soon after he was lined up for tours across the world and was confirmed as an Ibiza resident for the summer installment of Deadmau5 & Friends at Amnesia. Lake is currently running two labels, “Rising Music” and “Rising Trax,” both of which have been snowballing tremendous success and attraction from supporting artists such as Sasha, Kleinenberg, Funkagenda, Michael Woods, and Fanciulli. Chris Lake has developed into a household name in the EDM world…and it is only the beginning.
