The French house producer, Cedric Gervais, might be best known for “Molly,” which will easily go down in EDM history as one of the most controversial tracks at the time of its release. The suggestive single caused a stir during the 2012 Ultra Music Festival in Miami when Deadmau5 ripped on Madonna for referencing the song lyrics during Avicii’s set. A provocative video was also released to compliment the racy undertones of the dance hit. Gervais has worked with major artists such as Lenny Kravitz and has recently collaborated with fellow raunchy dub producer, Borgore. He has launched a popular party series called “Shit Show” or “Le Show,” in which he promotes “no rules and no judgment” that he throws at his headlining events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami. Gervais continues to evolve his brand from his first residency in Paris as a teenager to his current US residencies in Miami and Las Vegas at the age of 33. The multi-faceted artist now tours internationally and will be making his acting debut in Mark Wahlberg’s feature film, Pain & Gain, which is slated to hit theaters in April 2013.
