Harry Rodrigues, better known by his stage name Baauer, is a 23 year old American producer from Brooklyn, New York. An aspiring bedroom producer since the age of 13, Baauer is now at the forefront of the electro-trap music movement. His first debut was in early 2012 when he released his bass-heavy party track "Dum Dum" by the LuckyMe label. Baauer then released a series of records that put the spotlight on the young DJ and received attention from many famous trap and bass producers like Diplo, Flosstradamus, and Rustie. Almost instantly, he was signed onto Diplo's label, Mad Decent, and released the trap hit, "Harlem Shake." In the beginning, the track made waves amongst the EDM community, but it wasn't until 2013 the song skyrocketed into the mainstream because of an internet meme where individuals would upload amateur videos of them dancing to the song. Firemen, college students, news anchors, and even celebrities have all been seen doing the Harlem Shake. The viral video craze brought the track to the top of the Billboard charts. Known for his bass-heavy beats and hip hop hooks, Baauer has attracted a great fan base and has lured an appreciable audience into the trap scene. He has toured with big names such as Dillon Francis, Araabmuzik, and Kill The Noise and has musical festivals such as Fun Fun Fun and Day of the Dead lined up.
