Axel Christofer Hedfors is best known under his production name “Axwell,” and was one of the members of the legendary house trio Swedish House Mafia. He has released music other under solo and collaborative aliases such as Quasar, Mambana, and OXL among other, smaller side projects. Axwell’s Midas-like touch – along with his peerless technical ability – has made him the go-to guy for artists looking to get their latest release reworked into a storming dancefloor juggernaut. Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Moby and Pharrell Williams have all come a-knockin’, while productions such as his masterful reworking of Hard-Fi’s ‘Hard To Beat’, his sublime remix of The Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition’ (along with Dirty South) and of course his unstoppable version of TV Rock’s ‘In The Air’ have gone on to become as big as – or, in many cases, bigger than – the original tracks. Axwell released his international hit, “Feel the Vibe” in 2004 and is currently known for his remix of Ivan Gough and Feenixpawl’s “In My Mind.” He began releasing music in 2009 as Swedish House Mafia with his cohorts Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. In early 2013, the group officially broke up, but they still plan to collaborate on tracks as solo artists. He has been nominated for Grammys in 2011, 2012 and 2013 for both Swedish House compositions and remixes done solo as well as with Dirty South. Axwell strives to find the next best producers in the word of electronic music and heads his own record label, Axtone Records. He can be found at nightclubs internationally where he holds exclusive residencies and has played almost every major festival in the world as either a solo artist or with Swedish House Mafia.
